Zippleons, fondly called "zipps," are a mesmerizing blend of fluffy snakes and chameleons, endowed with the extraordinary skill of transitioning between anthropomorphic and feral forms. The story of Zippleons originates with a fortuitous discovery by an adventurer in a dense forest. This individual encountered an enigmatic egg and took on the responsibility of nurturing it until it hatched. This marked the birth of the very first Zippleon. Deeply intrigued by this peculiar creature, further research was conducted, eventually leading to the utilization of DNA manipulation to create more Zippleons. Thanks to this breakthrough, now anyone with a Zippleon egg can raise and bond with their own Zippleon companion.

Communication plays a pivotal role in Zippleon society. They express themselves through a wide array of sounds, including "rawrs," chirps, growls, and barks, and they possess the remarkable capacity to learn and adapt to various human languages. A vital aspect of their existence is their fondness for warmer climates. Zippleons enjoy basking in the sun during most of the year, but they adapt to the changing seasons. In the winter months, they enter a hibernation-like state, emerging sporadically to savor winter berries. During this time, they have a tendency to store energy-rich items such as berries, nuts, fruits, and more in their unique tail zipper pouches, ensuring they remain nourished throughout the hibernation period.

It's crucial to emphasize that Zippleons are a species intended for safe-for-work content. They are never depicted in explicit or reproductive scenarios, and all representations should be kept within these boundaries.

Zippleons have a diverse diet that encompasses various food groups, including meat, fruits, vegetables, and bugs. Among these options, they harbor a particular fondness for fruits due to their sweet and sugary taste. This preference often makes fruits the highlight of their meals, satisfying both their taste buds and nutritional needs. Additionally, the inclusion of meat, vegetables, and bugs ensures a well-rounded diet, providing essential nutrients and sustenance for these captivating creatures.

Required traits

- Head Structure: Zippleons have a rectangular, snake-like head, which can be modified through mutations.

- Eye Color and Shape: They possess eyes that are either super dark or black in color, with shapes varying between circle/oval or almond-shaped.

- Tongue: Zippleons have a forked or pointy tongue.

- Tail: Their tail is characterized by its curly nature and can be either fluffy, scaley, or a combination of both. It may also be curled either up or down. Any deviation from this standard tail structure is considered a mutation.

- Mane: A fluffy mane covering the top of the head and neck is standard, although extremely large manes require mutation for justification.

- Charms: They have charms located on the side of their mane under their horns, which can appear on one or both sides.

- Paw Structure: Zippleons feature big feet paws and smaller hand paws, typically without claws unless affected by mutations.

- Facial Features: Snake heat pits on the face help cool them down when necessary, and they lack nostrils. Additionally, they are earless.

- Tail Features: Each Zippleon has a zipper located on their tail of varying shape and size.

- Horns: Inward twisting horns are the norm, unless influenced by mutations.

- Digits: They possess 3 to 4 toes and fingers, with modifications possible through mutations.

- Teeth: Normally, Zippleons lack teeth, unless altered by mutations.

- Paw Pads: Both hands and feet have pawpads, with alterations achievable through mutations.

Please note that these traits represent the standard characteristics of Zippleons. Any deviations or additional features require justification through mutations and should be incorporated into an individual Zippleon's design accordingly.
