The Plagued (Doc)

The Plagued is a young slugcat who was infected with the rot after an accident when they were a pup. They nearly died when it began taking over their body, but they slowly learned to control it, and now use it to their advantage - although they lost their sense of smell and a bit of their sight, and they constantly have a mild burning pain in their whole body. They're very small for their age due to the rot stunting their growth. During their travels years later they came across the half-collapsed can of Falling Frozen Leaves, and booted her back up while looking around. She chose to take them in and appoint them as her messenger, and nicknamed them Doc. They now reside in her chambers, but often leave to explore, see their friends, or deliver pearls.

The Plagued can be shy upon first meeting someone, but is usually quick to warm up. They're very bubbly and cheerful despite their condition, and will never pass up an opportunity to help their loved ones, even if it ends up hurting them. They hate fighting and will do their best to flee from anything that tries to hurt them, and usually scavenges corpses for food rather than trying to catch prey. They tend to be timid around anything bigger than them - which is a lot of things - even if they know it won't or can't hurt them.
