Thank you!! He's a warlock and I decided to use it to emphasize a part of his curse/bargain. He can see the future but it's at the cost of his humanity/soul. The more he uses his power the more corrupt his soul becomes. And yeah lol I didn't think I'd like romancing Astarion this much but he's phenomenally well written

It's still kind of a WIP because I've never delved too deep into warlock and eldritch lore in D&D but that's the basic idea.
