A penguin-like cockatrice who lost a flipper in a kelpie attack as a child and has been angry about it ever since. He COULD get a prosthetic, but never seems to have an actual reason as to why he won't, other than cockatrices in general are unreasonably stubborn creatures.
One trait of cockatrices is that they have special powers for incapacitating prey/threats. Sidney's is inducing seasickness by ruffling his head/neck feathers while making eye contact. This can work to get away from enemies, but it's not so great for prey when watching them get sick also makes him sick. Or when he's already physically stuck to an enemy. It also has no effect when on a boat or something where someone might be actually seasick.
In Floraverse, he lost his flipper to a spire infection instead of a kelpie.
If he could have any voice actor, it would be Dana Snyder.
