Backstory

Naomi was originally from Planet-13125, a desolate planet that was plagued with neverending war, strife, and desolation. A few months after she was born, her mother passed away in her sleep, leaving her under the care of her brother who was fifteen years older than herself. Throughout her childhood, despite desperate times, she was treated with utmost care and luxury as fate allowed. However, ten years later, her brother perished in the battlefield. Understanding that there were too many unknown variables in their life, her brother begged his biological father to take her under wing should he die. While his biological father upheld his promise, taking Naomi under his wing, he also pushed her into the army. Naomi, now having no one else, pushed through the battlefield without restraint and a care for herself, eventually creating a name for herself among peers and enemies alike due to her tenacity.

A time then came where she met her end in the battlefield, which she welcomed without any qualms or regrets. To her surprise, though, her soul managed to survive at the expense of it shattering into fragments across time and space. Later, upon her reunion with her brother's reincarnation, it was revealed that the Sora Family had a hidden ability that allowed them to have a second chance at life so long as they had a certain necklace. However, her older brother passed his necklace to her when she was younger, which prevented him from accessing this ability. And while the necklace was able to keep Naomi alive, as she was only a Sora in name and not by blood, her soul was unable to handle the power, causing it to shatter.

One of Naomi's fragments landed in Penacony. Though she had never existed in this world prior to the fragmentation of her soul, she was accepted by the Dreamscape as a Penacony resident named "Mia", which prevented the Bloodhounds from noticing any anomalies with her. For a certain period of time after her arrival, she was also unable to leave the Dreamscape, causing her to be stuck within. Without another choice, she ventured around Penacony, eventually settling to help at the Dreamjolt Holstery after getting along with its owner, Siobhan. It was also there that she met Gallagher, someone who posed as a Bloodhound Guard.

She had taken a keen interest in Gallagher, often flirting with him and making offers to spend a night in bed with him. At one point, Gallagher accepted, resulting in a fuck-buddies relationship between them. Eventually, though, this bloomed into something more.

In an alternate timeline, Gallagher and Mia were indeed in love, but Gallagher viewed his loyalty and duties to Mikhail as his priority. Thus, after he allowed the Nameless to meet with Mikhail, he bid Mia farewell and left. Mia, having no one but Gallagher, was left in anguish and loneliness. Through unknown means, her desire to see Gallagher again as well as to have an eternal proof that he once existed in her life caused her to become pregnant with a son, whom she eventually gave birth to and raised with care. But as she never expected or wanted to be a mother, this further caused her to take a hit. She named her son Sora, in memory of her past life, and raised him the best as she could. Despite this, though, Sora could tell that his mother was a mere shell of the person she used to be, and that it won't take long before she bid farewell.

As expected, sometime after Sora reached adulthood, Mia committed suicide, leaving her son with only an apology, a necklace, and a memory bubble. Sora took the memory bubble and left Penacony, traversing the cosmos in search of his father. Although he had to take a detour after landing in Teyvat and being sent back in time, he eventually reunited with a happier and closer version of his parents.
