Minos's Comments

  an angel

Born into the heavens to serve in a divine war, Minos abdicated their position and was cast down into the world where they had to endure mortal strife and hardship; the intentions of their punishment was to foster a love for humanity strong enough that they'd fight for their world! Instead, Minos found being hungry a novelty and looked to the suffering and strife around him with an impassive mind. At first Minos drifted harmlessly from settlement to settlement, not being too helpful unless it served them - but not being overtly problematic.

Eventually though, Minos began to consume things other then food - gnawing holes into concepts to keep from starving: tasting ideas like security, dissension, fury, and bliss. As they developed a knowledge of concepts by tearing into them, heaven became alarmed and watched their former warrior patiently, as Minos only snipped a few threads out of the idea each-time the damage they were doing wasn't irreparable, but their motives were unknown to heaven. The divine had severed all of Minos's holy talents when they were placed onto the world and were startled by their rise in power. Minos hardly noticed their growing affluence, too distracted by the thoughts of acquisition plaguing them! They learned a little here, a little there - and eventually were carrying out their own experiments and hypothesis; this, was unprecedented. Yet, as Minos had not learned their lesson they remained among the worldly creatures.

Until... Minos began to craft theorems around the fabric, more so essence, of time - dangerously coming closer and closer to a realization on how to reverse or end it altogether they were summoned back to heaven and congratulatory welcomed back into the fold - except, Minos still didn't want to fight. Rather then being returned to their position as a warrior Minos was made BookKeeper,,, they were never allowed to /read/ the books, but they could dust them and memorize where they sat on the infinite shelves.

As soon as they'd stepped into heaven, Minos had lost their will to wrest with time and accepted the position quite readily, not even bothered that their holy powers continued to be withheld from them. While in the divine world, Minos cannot access their passion for study - but the knowledge of what they learned remains.
