Lilith Une

Rune kindly asks you to give your supply of cookies and cream flavored poki sticks.

Backstory

So basically we just got a regular old person who lived a regular ol life in earth or whatever. Yk the typical eat sleep work stuff. But basically one random day, Lilith decided to visit the library and found a new hidden room of books shes never seen before. It was like an alleyway kinda and she just entered that library's alleyway. Cue a weird glitch occuring all of a sudden bc wanna know why? She noclipped into a hidden room in a game. Turns out she was all apart of a fake world but she doesnt know that. She sensed a bit weird because of the weird world glitch, but she thought it was nothing and she must’ve seen things until she then sees a textureless book.

So she stares at it curiously and goes to read the book which feels oddly warm and ticklish on the palm of her hands. And then she read the book and it’s basically the Bible but some random religionless equivalent in which its actually telling the lore of the world itself with a bunch of 1's and 0's in between. She then feels the weird sensation again and all of a sudden the world starts to glitch and she gets blacked out the moment she sees static appear-

Then bam-

Welcome to the forever home ✨ 

A white empty and endless void with nothing in it but a single lightbulb and a stool to sit on. So think of the omori void kinda. This void is endless and the only concept of time that exists is when it shifts from pitch black to white and vise versa. 

The X-Unes.

Upon being transported into endless void, Lilith would be transformed into 4 separate but practically identical entities: Rune, Lune, Nune, and Sune. As they are in the opposite ends of an infinite void, the Unes never see each other, nor they know of the other X-Une’s existences.

Lilith never does get to even go back to her original world. The world she was in is gone, and for all the Unes know, it’s anonymous to them. Infact she spends so long in the void that she forgot her name, what certain things were in her world, and even a majority of her world memories.

Basically since they’re stuck in the void and all (imagine being all alone. what a noob) the Unes have been stuck there for so long that they’ve started forgetting things like what certain things were like memories, some things like driving and buying stuff, and was even mixing up a few word's meanings here n there. They’ve almost even forgot how to speak English/French too from how long she was stuck in the void and started speaking in wingdings.

Being in the void for so long, they became practically devoid of any feelings or life and were stuck for an infinite amount of time with no way of escape. So basically every day merged with the next since everything was the same (time was only distinguishable by the sudden flash from a white void to a black void vice versa, so the Unes also lost track of how long she spent there) Also another thing is although there is day and night, they don’t ever age because time was practically frozen/they transformed from a human to the new alien/jellyfish/sea slug looking thing.

I would also like to mention this: Rune is the only one out of the 4 who was aware of the 4th wall the moment she woke up in the void. Unlike Rune who kept the book reading memory, Lune found out about the 4th wall later in her story thanks to some other characters, but overall the reason why Rune is the only one who was aware of it at 1st was because she was the only one who was given the memory when Lilith was split. So yes, this means each Une doesn’t have every memory from the life they had before as they were given to either another Une, or it was forgotten as they spent more time stuck in the void.

Personalities

If you still remeber the story, basically the moment the void glitched and she fell into the void and split into four separate identities. Everything is practically evenly split in terms of emotions that came from the original person except  Rune gained more slightly feral/chaotic emotions, Lune  gained slightly more formal (think of Yuri DDLC) emotions, Nune gained more maturity (Nun/Priest vibes), and Sune gained slightly more childlike+playful behavior (Basically Venti from Genshin Impact.) 

Overwrite

Overwrite: a phenomenon that occurs to a Une when they become overstimulated in emotions. As time passed on the void and the X-Une’s sanities and mentalities started to shrivel, they gained this trait in which whenever they feel emotions (so basically never unless the encounter another individual LOL) the Black sections of their hair change colors depending by the emotion. These colored areas do infact glow, and it’s as a result of bioluminescence that was absorbed from the white void’s cycle duration (daytime). As for the glow, it is comparable to that of the Blue Moon Jellyfish, so it’s really not that hard on the eyes.

Normal/Neutral emotions is a Black/no glow, Pink glow is love, light Blue (exclusive to the black void/nightime or whenever it’s dark) is when they are Tired, Yellow when happy, and finally Purple when sad. With that out of the way, you now might be wondering what it means for them to ‘Overwrite’. As previously mentioned, when in the hypothetical that they for the first time in forever meet another living being and finally get to socialize etc, there is a small chance that they get too emotional. Be it one were to become maniac, miserable, furious, or basically any negative emotions that are overly extreme (sometimes also positive ones but I’ll elaborate later.) the X-Unes would ‘Overwrite’ and lose all sense of reality and they’d snap and become dangerous (Woa more Omori stuff? Crazy)

Specific Types of Overwrite

Depending on the Une, there’s different types of overwrites that are exclusive to each one. Rune inverts, Lune glitches/crashes, Sune holograms/phases( process of making ghost copies aka fakes), and Nune pixelates and sometimes de-texturizes.

So that basically means Lune because she’s less feral/unhinged compared to Rune, she has no inverted pallet but something else. So basically instead of white to black like Rune, she just loses her black spots and completely whites out and starts glitching (haha she crashes instead of going Mary Sue/Yandere like Rune). As for those exceptions of overwrite, Lune can become Overwritten if you were to fluster/confuse her too much. Because of her crashing, she is also the only one who would accidentally freeze herself as well, for the other X-Unes still keep their moving abilities in their Overwrite form. (Note: Lune later on in her story does get the training to control her abilities and put them to use whenever she wants. As for the others, overwrite would still remain uncontrollable and unexpected for them. Not that they don’t mind though, Overwrite is basically them getting stronger so chances are they’d embrace getting taken over in order to defend themselves)

But other than overwrites, if you were to put them side by side, they would basically be exactly identical in every manner even down to appearance and clothes. Rune is right handed (R for Rune) and  Lune is Left handed (L for Lune). Right rhymes with Night, so Nune is also Right Handed, so that makes Sune her opposite aka Left handed. Lilith Une was ambidextrous, so the Unes got only one of the two when they were split.  Nune and Sune don’t have any lore for them as of now tho bc I’m lazy, and tend to just like pairing my characters to interact with others and see how that goes (Which is how Rune and Lune have lore.)

Dreams

Dreaming is a rare occurrence for X-Unes, like how normal people don’t usually dream. However when they do dream, their dreams are quite interesting. Rune for instance, basically dreams in a spectator mode of herself, so it’s like an infinite loop of looking at herself asleep while she’s dreaming of looking at herself asleep etc etc. Lune is a bit interesting, as her dreams are unstable. They shatter and glitch a lot, so it’s like entering a world that’s basically about to collapse. If anything comes in contact with glitch particles in her dreams, they glitch out too. Nune being well- herself, is the only one who actually dreams about the past life as Lilith (only from the memories she has though.) so in terms of remembering memories, Nune by a long shot is the one who remembers the most of Lilith’s Past. As for Sune’s dreams, she is a bit eccentric and basically has dreams where she’s having fun and singing songs with imaginary instruments in an insane asylum room like this:

Rune and Lune are currently (as I said) my most developed Unes but I’ll list some general info about them at one point since they all share the same likes, dislikes, preferences, etc (the differences between their personalities overall are are so small like fr.)
