Born a year before the tragic death of his father, Myaeb Mystralath, Epana was a cherished joy in the young couples lives; his parents seemed at their happiest with his son by their side, and their hearts melted at every giggle or babble of their son. After his father’s untimely death, Epana was left in the care of his tiefling father, Damakos Nowhere, who was entirely unprepared to raise a child alone; while it was too painful to see his son, and too afraid to lose him, Damakos sought the help of his deceased husband’s best friend, Imye, to help raise the child. Together the two would do their best to be civil towards one another; while Damakos was often a smothering or an aloof presence, Imye filled the role of everything else that the widowed tiefling was unable to handle in his grief.
Epana idolizes adventures, wishing one day to go on a grand quest. Taking much of his personality from his father, Myaeb, Epana retains a cool and tactical approach to life while being an optimist. He struggles to stay awake.
- With an odd connection to the gods, Epana hears strange whispers in regards to godly knowledge. His ability to correctly identify, translate, and understand all that is divine is a skill most are jealous of.
- Born with the gift of magic, Epana has always been eager to develop his skills. Though he prefers to channel his magic through weaponry, he has no issue using magic on its own.

Born a year before his father, Myaeb Mystralaths' untimely death, Epana was left in the care of his father, Damakos Nowhere. Afraid that he would be unable to raise his son, Damakos sought the help of his deceased husbands best friend, Imye. The two raised the young tiefling-elf, Damakos being a smothering and aloof presence, and Imye being everything else that the widowed tiefling could not be in his grief.
A few months after Epana’s third birthday, the young elf-tiefling was afflicted with a bizarre curse.Inflicted with a very strange illness, which left him blind and began to rapidly weaken the young child, no healer from the material plane or beyond seemed capable of curing the illness, freeing him from the curse, or even slowing down the aggressive consumption of his health. Still grieving for the loss of his fiance, and frightened that he would lose his son, the last piece of Myaeb that he had, Damakos would embed four gems into Epana’s forehead in an attempt to contain the curse and return his sons sight.
At nineteen, Epana decided to leave his home behind in favor of adventure, having spent the majority of his childhood listening to the stories of grand quests told to him by Damakos and Imye both; the stories filled Epana with such a lust for adventure that at seventeen he had started to sneak around, meeting all sorts of bizarre and odd folk in shady establishments. Shortly before leaving home, his previously deceased father returned as a scarecrow, the surprise would only encourage Epana to follow through with his adventure. Although he left home, Epana is carefully watched over by his father’s and … he hasn’t exactly gone terrible far from home either. The perpetually sleepy gunslinger found himself a band of puckish rogues.
Myaeb Mystralath Father
While Epana was never raised by Myaeb, the young tiefling-elf was told many stories by his late fathers best friend, Imye, and over time Epana began to idolize the father that had died living his dreams. With Myaeb's return to his life, Epana finds himself happy to have his family coming back together, and the two seem to get along exceptionally well.
While the two do not have a terribly close relationship, the bond between father and son is unbreakable. While Damakos was often aloof at times and smothering during others due to having to raise Epana while Myaeb was dead; Damakos wanted his son alive, but was reminded of Myaeb too much to stay too near.
The only mother that Epana has ever known, although not to say that his fathers weren't enough for him. In the years that Epana grew with Myaeb's absence, it only seemed right his best friend would help take care of his son. Epana does a lot to emulate Imye, styling his hair and even asking a job from her. He loves her very much.
