Kiran Koury is the only child of Katerina and Mahmoud Koury. He was raised in a small town in South Carolina, enjoying long days and warm nights. His family life was a rather normal one, he was loved and taken care of but due to finances, his mother wasn't around as much as she'd like. Due to this and the fact Mahmoud often worked from home, Kiran grew especially close with himover the years. He helped with homework. went torecitals, and was always there when Katerina couldn't be. Mahmoud nutured his passions for animals while his mother indulged his interest in dance, they both did the best for their child as they could, even when life was difficult.
Around when Kiran was 13 his father fell ill with pancreatic cancer. To get better care the family had to move and downsize their home, Kiran moved schools and was suddenly home alone more and more, sometimes left responsible for his father's care.This also coincides with Kiran's dysphoria becoming more prominent. After 3 years of care, Mahmoud unfortunately passes away leaving his wife and child behind. All this change left Kiran depressewd and isolated while Katerina leaned more into religion to deal with her grief.
