Unruly, even among his crew of emotionally disturbed vigilantes. He's the token troublemaker, loud and obnoxious and sleazy, who lives his life with no regard for how other people perceive him. He acts according to his whims, which is usually what leads him into the dangerous situations he gets into to start with. It's led to him becoming a sort of outcast in his group of coworkers, as he's a liability on most jobs because he likes going in loud and his general unpredictability makes him an unreliable partner. However, one Carlow Linesby has grown attached to him, and will never deny the opportunity to work with him. Because of this, though Johnny's relationship with the others is rocky at best, he sees Carlow as an extremely close friend, even if he won't admit it out loud.

Though he always had the capability to manipulate electricity, he didn't recognise his secondary abilities, being the ability to control his blood flow like water and consequently cause it to burst into flames, until the vigilante crew members, who also specialise in blood-based abilities, showed him how to use it properly. Now, of course, they regret this decision, because he often uses it to either terrorise them or terrorise other people. On one occasion, he even incurred the chance of being targeted by an entire mafia by detonating this ability inside of one of its lower members' cars and causing the car to combust and explode on the highway because their attitude had rubbed him the wrong way.

Despite his general douchebaggery, Johnny tries not to make a habit of hurting or killing children.

His weapon of choice is the two-handed katana he carries around on his belt.
