Born and raised from the Oronir clan in the Azim Steppe. Karyan was not much of a trouble maker as a child, only starting to rebel around his teen years. Being distant, stubborn and often rude towards others. Being open to only a select few. Disliking the comfort of being around others, he goes out by himself, seeking for places that would comfort him within the steppe when he can, sometimes being tagged along by his friend Magnai.

Transitioned at age 14, he was also enrolled as a latecomer for becoming a sun warrior. Being taught the ways of traditions as well as fighting skills. Karyan got handed a claymore and was told to practice with it every day. Despite not being very interested in the usual ‘warrior’ traditions, he still went through with the training. Not wanting to stand out, he did exactly what he was told, but always tried to bail out once he actually had to fight. Disappearing when the Nhaadam drew close, but always got dragged back just in time to participate, thanks to his best friend. Whether it is willingly or forced is debatable.

Karyan has always had a simple mind to fall for darker temptation. Unknowingly using negative emotions in order to wield the weapon that he does. A large stone like claymore. With the last Nhaadam he participated in, he broke down mid fight. Beating and broken down, he summoned the last bit of strength he had left. Unknowingly unlocking the echo within him. Stood up with a sinister smile, as with a massive force of dark energy surges through the battlefield. Shocking both his competition as well as his own clan. Slashing through anything that was in his way, till none was standing in his view. Plunging his sword into the floor, kneeling down, as he passes out.

The next day he woke up, knowing what happened but was unable to speak about it, not even to the ones he is close to. Scolded and shunned, as he displayed the powers he was using. It was anything they had seen before, and wanted nothing to do with it in the gaze of the sun. Still being patched up, in the middle of the night he left the Dawn Throne. Magnai tried to stop him, but quickly gave up, seeing as Karyan had set his mind.

Karyan traveled through the land until he reached the capital, Kugane. Managed to get himself some interest as he would pick a fight with the right people. Admiring his fighting skills he got taken in by an organization. Eventually leading up to him learning the ways of the assassin and becoming something he truly always wanted to be.

However this organization couldn’t exist for long. Falling apart as the members got driven apart by the government. Karyan being part of it, fled to Ul’dah. Setting himself up as an underground bounty hunter who would kill anyone with the right amount of money.

Voidsent Having gained quite the reputation for his bounty hunter skills, he got more and more difficult jobs as time went on. Until one job fell upon his hands that would mark the day he wished he backed down for once. Being sent out to kill a voidsent. Thinking it would be an easy job, he went out alone, as usual. But to his surprise got tangled up with the creature when he tried to assassinate it. He got grappled by the voidsent and dragged into the thirteenth. While traveling the fast distance, the aether of the two go intertwined, merging together, becoming one. The powers of the fiend now Karyan’s, the mind was still there. Whispering to him about its hunger for Aether. Once arriving upon the realm, Karyan got to learn how to use his newly acquired form upon the dreadful wasteland of the Thirteenth. Finding out, with his new found powers that he can escape the realm. Upon returning, he finds out he was gone for multiple months. People assumed he was dead. With this, he rebuilt his relations within the city's underground, gaining new jobs that were significantly more difficult than he could ever do before.

Thinking he is the ‘hot topic’ of the bounty hunters not learning from his previous mistakes, he got challenged to pick up a bounty that was beyond anyone's expectations. The bounty was up for months, and was offering a ridiculous amount of gil, despite the target being nothing out of the ordinary. Karyan’s ego unable to accept a loss he takes the job, not knowing what exactly he would get himself into….
