A kindly, strong person who has a terminal genetic blood disease that runs in their family. They're undergoing 'treatment' for it currently, which involves experimentation, done at the major health and biology research facility (a lot of my ocs are involved with). Despite the experiments being very rough on them and their body, they're determined to get through it and are doing this of their own will, all in hopes of finding a cure for the disease that can save their family.

Thanks to the experimentation, they end up gaining the innate ability of hemomancy, being able to wield blood magic how they please, though they don't gain this ability well enough to save all of their family in time.
