Nope, but I looked him up now and see the similarity!
I kind of just designed him by making a half circle then drawing eyes above it then everything else just happened
He also looks similar to the shadow guy from A Hat in Time (forgot his name) and I hadn't seen him before I made Conductor either, so I guess I accidentally repeated the design of two characters I hadn't seen before lmao
