Iggy

Appearance:

Iggy is a huge inkling, towering over most his peers. Not only is he tall, he also has a broad build, making his stature very intimidating. His eyes are almond shaped and narrowed, and more often than not his expression is somewhat vacant.

Iggy never wears his hair up, as he is too forgetful to do so. His tentacles are short, ending just below his head. He has a tiny fringe that sits over his gasmask.

Personality:
If you were to ask anyone about Iggy, you’d probably get the same responses - savage, ferocious, a brute. With his huge and intimidating stature, Iggy towers over most people. With the gas mask he wears concealing his face and his taste for punk fashions, Iggy strikes fear into his peers. He is avoided at all cost, for fear of what he might do. Many rumours of his frightful misdeeds circle around the school yard, but no one knows when or where these rumours started.

However, if you were to actually talk with Iggy, you’d realise that these rumours couldn’t be further from the truth. Iggy is a true gentle giant - he’s extremely soft and kind and would never hurt anyone. He’s often compared to “a big teddy bear” by those who know him. The reason these rumours exist is because Iggy is extremely absent minded. He is constantly losing things and forgetting important items (like the hair lackeys Sylvia keeps giving him for school) and quickly forgets details. He easily misses small cues and signs, so for the most part he is completely oblivious that these rumours even exist.

Iggy is a passionate musician and has been all his life. He loves all kinds of music, but is most passionate about rock and pop music. Iggy’s dream is to be a professional musician, so he practises often to be the best that he can be. He’s the drummer for CMYK, and dedicates himself to their rehearsals and concerts, even if he frequently forgets his music or drumsticks (much to Sylvia’s annoyance). His favourite band is Chirpy Chips, and he adores them; they’re his idols and a big source of inspiration for him.

Contrary to his scary appearance, Iggy adores cute things, especially small, fluffy animals. His room is adorned with anything and everything cute, ranging from plush toys to posters to figurines. He loves shoujo anime and manga, especially magical girl ones. All his favourite animes are magical girl shows, and he can quote and recite many of them.

Backstory:
Iggy lives in a big household - he lives with his mother, older sister, his mother’s partner, two step sisters, a step brother and a half brother. As there’s so many people living in his house, Iggy does his best to keep quiet and not create any trouble. However despite his best efforts, Iggy doesn’t get along with his stepdad at all, making conflicts difficult to avoid. But Iggy knows that his mother loves him, so he just keeps quiet so as not to make things difficult for her. The only one of his step siblings he gets along with is Azura, as the two bonded over magical girl animes and continue to watch them together.

Strengths:
Iggy is the main defence on his team. With his range, he watches over his teammates and attempts to support them by assisting in claiming splats. His stingray makes it even easier for him to pick off and track opponents, which he can easily charge up with his sprinklers.

Weaknesses:
The splatling’s need to charge often works against Iggy, as he reactions are a little slow and he is at times caught unprepared. Without any bombs, Iggy has no means of defending himself when enemies break past his range, making him an easy target. Iggy is also rather easy to flank as he is fairly absent minded, and often loses track of his opponents.

Fun Facts:

 He really dislikes it if you call him by his full name.
 Iggy is an incredibly shy singer. No one has ever heard him sing, and asking him to do so is usually just answered with awkward silence.
