Tarati Alderbroc

Tarati is from a clan of Caprimets that fought during the war in Lemanta but retreated before casualties became too severe. They laid low in the Sealed World and still do so in Medlia because their retreat gave them a reputation for being flighty and unwilling to defend the Magicant collective. In Medlia, they settled in a different village from the one that the ruling family did, and so their knowledge of the happenings in the main series is a bit lacking.

Determined to explore the new world and to redeem her clan's name, Tarati has set out on a pilgrimage around Medlia. She's exploring the new world and its various people, and she hopes to eventually go to the ruling village for a chat with the king himself. Along the way, she picks up the pixie Baphae Ixie, who serves as a companion.

Her arc begins around the time of the 3rd book- she was a child in the Sealed World and is still pretty young for most of the series; her aging hasn't even become irregular (after a certain point, most Magicants' aging stops being in line with humans').
