When he was summoned by a young human mage with a growing reputation known as Theoden Rhithik, he jumped at the chance. Theoden willingly let the demon possess him, and the two were great study partners for a few years, until Lokuta began "experimenting" with Theoden's magic. 

With the mage experiencing great regret, he forcefully took back control over his own body. With the deal of possession lasting until death, the demon could only lie dormant for twenty years and offer his taunting thoughts to the mage. At Theoden's death, Lokuta was rather lost with his sudden detachment from his former vessel, who he didn't want to admit he had grown fond of. As he doesn't know how to express grief, he turns to anger instead, which is extremely unusual due to his nonchalant personality.
