Lutz, his parents and his two older siblings were an average family in Springvale. Unfortunately, their peaceful life was cut short by a terrible house fire that left Lutz as the only survivor.

Lutz was completely broken for several months. He would spend most of his time at his family’s graves, refusing to interact with other people. Locals and nuns did their best to make sure the boy was okay, but it was hard to cheer up someone so young, who lost his entire world overnight and was suffering from injuries after the accident.

One day, Lutz spoke to another cemetery visitor. Hearing how their loved one asked them to move on and live to the fullest, Lutz was struck with the realization that his family too would want him to be happy right now.
Seeing how many people cared for him all this time, when he thought he had nothing, Lutz set his sights on making sure he would repay everyone for their kindness.
The boy didn’t want to give up, so finally, he decided to step away from the cemetery and ask one of the nuns if she needed his help with dinner. Curiously, while preparing the meal, Lutz came across a shining geo vision.

Lutz never saw himself as some sort of fighter or knight who would be dealing with scary monsters all around the Teyvat. He was happy to have the vision, it did allow him to feel more safe after all, but his job did not require any elemental power.
Many years have passed at that point, and he hasn’t left the cemetery, at least not for long. He would regularly come back, help with cleaning, and over time it just became his job - to keep the place neat.

Now an official cemetery worker, Lutz is in charge of maintaining the whole area.
As of lately he spends his time either doing his job or hanging out with his friends (and most likely looking for some new activity to do).
