They are based on cicadas, ghosts and those zombie fungus! They are a nocturnal fungus/mold that has taken over cicada shed. The fungus is self aware and can contract itself to simulate movement! Their main goal is to wander and spread their spores as far as they can, so they tend to to stay in one place for very long. They eat decomposing matter through the teeth in their chest. Their eyes and teeth glow in the dark to resemble a creepy face to scare predators (and everyone who sees it really). You may often see several of these guys in a group, which means you may stumble upon several creepy faces staring at you. They can't hurt you and are quite fragile actually, so they heavily rely on intimidation to survive.
