He figured if he can’t gain enough fame as an artist there, he can gain enough notariety to get commission money by becoming a famous pirate. So he ventured out to the Grand Line, seeking a somewhat modest life yet little more.

However, after hearing about the events of the Straw Hat Pirates’ raid on Enies Lobby, and their bravery in facing the World Government head-on, it inspired Quote to aim his sights even higher. Now, the captain of the Burnout Pirates seeks not just to become a pirate, but to become an Emperor of the Sea, and the best artist in the New World. After all, if Straw Hat Luffy can work so hard to become King of the Pirates, then what’s stopping him from becoming “King of the Artists”?
