Helio the Dragon

Adragon egg was experimented with by a wizard and when hatched they were unable to use the baby human dragons power for their own.

The wizard was greedy but didn’t treat them too badly a human dragon is still a dragon sort of.

Theyre probably either some kind of arcane trickster or wizard due to stealing some of the wizards books and learning from them.

The wizard in order to fund further research sold off the then teen to “The Collector”.

The Collector kept him in a cage letting various people experiment on him and preform dissections. His claws and scales were picked off him. The scales at least growing back.

He was often gaged and chained to prevent him from using magic but one of the collectors minions took pity on him. He was going to be sold off again, chopped up like meat on a butcher block his horns ground down for a “miracle powder”. The Collector doesn’t like toys that cant be broken. And toys that don’t succumb to his whims are useless so are either thrown away or sold off in pieces.

This minion made the mistake of letting him have his last meal unchained. Using his dragon breath and magic he escapes and makes his way to safety.
