the human half of Aurore
Name: Somnia Gender: Female Species: human Skills: Abilities/Fighting Style: i'll make a tab sometime but it's similar to V in that she uses familiars to weaken enemies and kills them with her parasol Familiars: see "Familiars" tab Affiliation: None Personality: Somnia is a quiet and reserved person, rarely speaking her mind beyond necessity. Initially, she doesn't get attached to people easily, fearing the lengths that her commitment to them might take her to, but eventually learns to accept caring more. Even though she tries to hide it, Somnia's emotions run very deep and influence her actions almost all the time. She is afraid of dying, but doesn't show this outwardly. Once Somnia begins to open up more, a more chaotic and mischevious side makes itself known, showing just how much Somnia likes teasing people, even if she does so in her own quieter way. Somnia also loves poetry, and can often be found reading it, along with using lines of poetry in her day-to-day speech more often than not. Story: wip but she came into being after Aurore split herself apart, discarding everything that she felt was causing her unnecessary pain. Somnia was among these discarded pieces. She and several of the other pieces, such as Echo, soon realized that they would die if they didn't return to their place inside of Aurore. However, none of them were powerful enough to do it alone, and so, Somnia set out in search of those she could use to accomplish her goal, making contracts with Echo, Maw, and Wraith. Not long later, she encountered V, who she recognized instantly, despite having been separated from him for several days (as Somnia was in part all of Aurore's attachments to people, it goes without saying that she would recognize a piece of Vergil). The two of them decided to team up to stop the demons they had unleashed, as neither wanted to die. And so, for those few months, they traveled together, until they finally accomplished their missions and returned to their places inside Aurore and Vergil respectively, never to be seen again. Partner(romantically): V Friends: Nero, Umbra (somewhat. though Umbra does not know that Somnia is a piece of Aurore) Enemies: Urizen, Eve Other: -Physically very weak -Mostly uses familiars to fight(they're also just companions on her mission, see "Familiars" tab for more info), but uses a parasol as her weapon when necessary -A big fan of poetry -Very aware of the nature of her and V's existences -Not very openly affectionate, but cares a lot about V -Hides her identity from Aurore's sister, Umbra -Actually loves physical affection such as hugging or cuddling -Can often be found reading poetry on her own -With V almost all the time -V's familiar Griffon calls her "milady" both as a taunt and just because -Sometimes she uses her parasol like a cane, particularly when she's tired
Design notes: -Unless summoning her familiar Wraith, Somnia appears in her "normal" appearance -Her hair is in a ponytail, it just happens to be very fluffy and kinda long -Her tattoos are not optional. In her "normal" appearance, they're all there, and in her Devil Trigger appearance (only when Wraith is out), she has no tattoos -Her hair changes color in her Devil Trigger appearance -Wears fingerless gloves -Other than her hair and tattoos, nothing about her design changes from her normal appearance to her Devil Trigger appearance -There is a string bow in her hair -The parasol in the ref is what she uses as a weapon.
