Pearl Darling (or just commonly "Pearl") is an earth pony who has a knack for jewelry and eye-catching accessories. As much as she has a talent for and love of making them, Pearl enjoys spending time harvesting them, too! She enjoys her frequent trips to the coast of any large area of water that would foster oysters and their pearls. She's also a master at gemmology, understanding the conditions that must be met for a gem to be made, either naturally or artificially (though she personally doesn't go near artificial gems herself - she'd much rather prefer the real thing).

In her down time, she likes to spend time with her friend, Coral Reef, and support her environmental and climate awareness movements. She also enjoys reading a good science book - she loves to understand how the world works!

Pearl is a very sweet and caring pony. She actively involves herself in her friends work and interests, and is among the first to step in and offer help when need be. While she values fashion and sparkly things, she's not afraid to get dirty to get something done - especially if that means getting to pursue the things she wants to! She's a Southern Belle, so she has a bit of a country side to her as well.

While she's a great friend, Pearls can be overbearing and a little pushy at times. She likes to get things done as soon as possible, and can get easily frustrated when others don't share the same ideals or work ethic. She's a bit of a workaholic, as well, and needs to constantly be reminded to take breaks, especially to eat. Nopony likes a cranky, hangry Pearl. It's a good thing she's got great friends to help remind her to take care of herself!
