Aitou Takase

Aitou is a sweet, kind, and gentle boy. He loves everything cute, and openly shows that. Some may mistake this for a fake personality, thinking he's doing too much, and find him unpleasant at first, but once they get to know him better they will find that he's very genuine. He indulges in everything he loves to be as happy as he can be.

Aitou, deep down, struggles with a lot of depression and anxiety, but he will always do his best to keep a big smile on his face. He doesn't particularly like letting others in to let them know his struggles under the surface, but he will confide his issues in people he trusts deeply.

With the way Aitou acts and surrounds himself with cute things constantly, some people mistake him for being a bit stupid or airheaded, when he is quite the opposite. He's quite intelligent, extremely perceptive, and has a vast amount of knowledge. However, this won't stop him from attempting to consume an entire cheesecake in one sitting at least once a month.

Aitou was born to a poor, but happy young couple. His early childhood was somewhat uneventful, but when he began school, he began to suffer from health problems, mostly anemia. His parents began to stress, and began to argue, which unbeknownst to them made their child deteriorate more as he hid his conditions to attempt to appease his parents. The two fought more and more, until they ultimately seperated, with Aitou's father leaving the picture entirely. His mother, Himari, moved in with her parents while she sorted things out.

When Aitou grew older, his mother met an anesthesiologist at the hospital during one of Aitou's iron infusions, Asami Morita. The two went out to get coffee, and quickly grew fond of one another. Several months later, the two had begun dating, and Aitou was introduced to his to-be stepsister, Hinako. The two didn't get along at first, with the younger Hinako being quite a fussy child, but eventually they became inseperable. It was also around this same time that Aitou was having some extreme mental duress over some unwanted signs of puberty happening, and his first struggles with gender reared up. Himari was deeply understanding, and Asami recommended a few specialists. Aitou began to seek treatment, seeing both doctors to help remove unwanted facial hair, as well as seeing a therapist.

By the time their mothers married, the family had been living together in Asami's house. It was large and comfortable, and Himari no longer struggled with money, and was in fact quite spoiled by her new wife. The two were a spitting image of a happily wed couple, and Himari found she had a lot more time to relax and spend time with her children now that she didn't have to work two jobs. She took up a new job with a flower shop, and spent a lot of time around the house, cooking and cleaning.

Around this same time, Aitou was 15, and Hinako was 13. At some time before the wedding, Hinako went through her teenage rebellion, and began to dress in goth lolita and go through a chuunibyou phase. This was also around the time that Aitou was experimenting with his gender and sexuality a lot more, starting to date his first few boyfriends in high school. He found that he gravitated toward the exact opposite fashion style as his sister, choosing the more electic mix of all things pastel. He found a passion in thrifting, but also saved his hard-won money up for especially pricy items from specialized lolita boutiques. That was when his fashion style that still holds true to his adult life began to start in full.

When he was in his later years of high school, Aitou began to date his best friend, Itsuki, and despite the two of them having many firsts together, they ultimately decided they felt nothing beyond close friendship for one another. They remained close up through adulthood, with Itsuki ending up working alongside Aitou.

After graduation, Aitou attended college, expanding his knowledge and nearly perfecting his language skills. Through school and college, he had picked up Mandarin, Korean, as well as English. He's currently focusing on sign language, intent on learning it to the best of his ability. He worked at a little bakery while in school, and when he graduated, he opened his own cat cafe, to do the two things he was the most passionate about: bake, and be around cats.
