Ash Wildleaf

Ash never knew their parents, and was raised by the forest they were left to die in. It's been the only home they've ever known, even now as they were called to form the Council of the Portal, they feel safe when outdoors. One of their most formative memories was the outskirts of their home being levelled and burned in favour of expansion of the Empire's civilisation. In the night following this devastation, Ash looked up to the sky and say a star's dying light. An entity spoke to Ash... And a promise was made.

Once older, Ash found and joined the Order of the Oak. It was the closest thing to community, other than the creatures of the forest, that Ash had. They grew to hate the Empire and other such civilisations like it that cover their world. So... Why join the Council of the Portal? The possibility of the fabled "Primordial Grove", a hidden and sacred sanctuary that contains the source of natural magic in Silvania. Ash wishes to take control of it and use it's power to overthrow the Empire, the Confederacy and anyone else with similar ideals. The natural world will take over, and Ash will lead this change.

There is a rebellion against the Empire Ash was once under the rule of, and the Order of the Oak (along with Ash) are on it's side. Kael is Ash's ally, despite Ash's original aversion to time manipulation magic like his. However, they realised their goals aligned. What started out as an unlikely friendship has evolved into a team up full of schemes, ready to manipulate and kill their way until they get want they want. Currently, with their work the Empire has stopped aiding the Council and the Rebellion is on their side, even if they can't provide aid.
