Reserved but observant, Ying is not so much "shy" as they are unmotivated to pursue meaningful relationships beyond client interactions and "business". This does not mean Ying dislikes people (quite fond of physical intimacy actually), but it's pretty evident that they would much rather focus on immediate pressing issues rather than linger on things that already happened. Regardless, Ying can be a warm and incredibly tolerant individual under the right circumstances - though their "airy" temperment is far from consistent and cannot be entirely relied upon.

HISTORY:

Nobody's quite sure where Ying came from; they just quietly showed up one day at a tattoo parlor to be hired as a new artist. As far as people can tell, Ying has no living relatives to note. They avoid sharing many personal details anyway.

• That neck is wrapped for a good reason. Don't touch that.
• Several tattoos cover Ying's shoulders, hips, face, and back. Ying also has a number of piercings decorating the bridge of their nose and their ears.
• Despite being physically scrawny under all that cloth, Ying's a lot heavier than their appearance suggests thanks to a dense and "peculiar" bone structure.
• In terms of food, Ying has a voracious appetite, especially when it comes to meat (the fresher it is, the better). Ying has less of a preference for sugary things, however, and will often steer clear of the really sweet stuff.
• Ying's body heals faster than average but is quite sensitive to pain, hence a growing dependency on painkillers.
• Ying takes things to their literal value and is more than likely to misunderstand you if you don't lay out your interests clearly. On the flipside, Ying's own motivations and thought processes tend to be unclear, and will often jump topics or have logic skips if they're not really paying attention to how much you understand.
• Ling is biracial and fluent in Chinese.
