HABITS
Moore is often in his own head asking himself endless questions; If you do spot him, it's likely that he's deep in thought if not speaking to someone else. He's (at his healthiest) an early riser who sleeps early and enjoys watching the sunrise.
HOBBIES
Moore greatly enjoys hobbies such as sewing and knitting; watching his master seamstress mother as a child inspired him to learn how to make his own clothes at an early age, and now he makes them for his friends and family, also. He also enjoys cooking, watching drama TV, and baseball.
Moore and Nora's marriage was put under pressure when it was clear that Moore's mental well-being was only continuing to spiral; not only did he abuse chems more than before, but it had become increasingly difficult to cope with both his military traumas on top of the self-imposed isolation he put himself through due to the shame of feeling lesser to the majority of his co-workers; Because he enjoyed doing more of the "feminine" roles in the home, on top of his introverted and aloof nature to others, he was judged heavily for "not being a real man," just as his father once did, and it was obvious that it took a toll on his health. It did not help that his time as a lawyer, although helping him and his wife earn enough to find a comfortable home and live easier than most, had excruciating hours, on top of the public stigma that came with being a defense attorney. By the time Nora and Moore accidentally found out she had become pregnant in 2075, her and him basically spent no time together, and while the love had not necessarily fizzled out, much of it had been replaced with stress and sorrow. The birth of their son Shaun in November of 2076 helped the estranged couple to spend significantly more time together as they both took parental leave to care for their newborn, with the newfound joy of finally having a proper family giving Moore enough of a realization that he needed to change to inspire him to finally start his main dream; running for the mayoral seat in Boston. Leaving his job and using his own savings to pursue a job that could help give his son a better world to live in, as well as finally making a real effort to go clean, his life finally seemed to be looking up as he found a new sense of purpose being both a father and a new underdog in the on-going election− only for it all to crumble when the bombs fell on October 23rd, 2077, when he entered Vault 111 with his family, only to be placed in cryogenic stasis for 210 years, with a now-dead wife, and a mysteriously missing son.
Since his Post-War life synopsis is the main subject of the work that I am writing, here are all the links to the fic where he is the protagonist, Way Back Home!
