● Mai is a typical Gemini. She's loud and talkative, very outgoing. She's a social butterfly and ready to mingle, not denying that she's a total flirt. Her boisterous attitude has its downs fall as well. Mai is really cocky, always up for the next challenge, she also flips like a switch. Something said can turn her bubbly attitude into her defensive state. Even though she won't say it straight out loud, she's really sensitive and takes almost everything to heart. Other than that she's sarcastic and playful.

● Mai is the daughter of a ghoul and a human. When her mother found out that she was pregnant, she did everything she could to save her child. Since her mother was a ghoul, she knew that her body had a problem with probably mistaking the baby as food and absorbing it. Because of this, she did everything in her power to keep the baby alive inside her for as long as she could. With special scientists help, as well as her mother consuming large quantities of human flesh, Mai survived and was born prematurely.
● Despite the fear of the possibility Mai growing slowly or barely growing at all, she was fine growing up. She is actually slightly taller than average. Her father was a human, as well as a rather wealthy businessman, and because of this wealth, she grew up comfortable. Her father knew of her mother being a ghoul and still accepted her wholly, as well as herself. She was given tutors to teach her and ended up graduating high school through these tutors.
● At 18 she started at the university, is one of the ghouls lucky enough to attend, and has been fine ever since. She grew up with privilege and still lives with her parents to this day.

-relationships-
● Father: Mai is a total daddy's girl. He is in the oil industry all over the world. She adores him to death, and he just adores her. Even though he spoils her, Mai doesn't act like a spoiled brat. Of course, she does give her falling outs with him like any other daughter, but no matter what happens she still loves him.
● Mother: strange enough, she isn't close to her mother. They still talk to each other all the time, as well as Mai helping her prepare her father a meal from time to time, but they don't have a normal mother and daughter relationship. She sees her mother as just a mom, she never developed a friendship with her. They love each other, but there is this odd tension between them.
● Ayano: is her best friend. They met at Anteiku like most of the other ghouls she knows, but they had an instant bond. They had to sit together at a table when it was really crowded one morning and it all started from there. Being the social butterfly, Mai started the conversation and found out that Ayano was nothing like her at all. That's why they became fast friends. They liked most of the same things, they just had opposite personalities. They balanced each other out. Even though Mai is a year older, it doesn't make a difference in their relationship.
