Miski grew up with her sister Maisy and her mother Larissa. Her father was an abusive drunk man who would beat on his family and cheat on Larissa every night. Eventually Larissa had enough and ran off with her two girls. She was granted shelter by her old friend, Mother Selune and she took the Miller family in. However this wouldn’t have a happy ending. A few years later Larissa dies by a feral wolf attack. Selune brings the horrible news and her corpse to her daughters, Miski and Maisy. Their lives were torn apart that day and words could not describe how devastated they were. Worse, if you see other stories surrounding the orphanage's past, you know horrible things happened to the children, one of those being Maisy and Miski.

When Mother Selune was killed by Canyon, her daughter Mary Anne Hayward took over and tried to make something good out of the horrible things that happened to the girls. When Miski grew of age she was made an employee for the orphanage and has worked there since. She adores the girls and orphanage, but still has a hard time letting go of what has happened to her.
