About 
chrome is the Team Captain of Dead Zone, the top team in Nautilus Isle.
But he didn't start out that way. He was the product of an Inkling x Octoling afair and was raised in the Octarian Underground. His mother suffered trauma while on the surface, and refused to go back there, hiding her Inkling son away from others of her species. When he was old enough, she encouraged him to go to the surface, promising she would be here when he needed her. He finally agreed, and made the trip to the surface alone.

He was too young to live on the surface by himself so he ended up in an Inkopolis Orphanage. He would still take the time to meet with his mother in Octo Valley though, talking to her through a hatch in the floor. It was the highlight of his day.

When he became old enough, he tried out Turf War. He had a blast and it became his special interest. He'd spend days and nights training and would talk to his mother about his matches. He got so good that he was scouted by Toni Kensa to become a representitive/model. Due to this he had to follow the Turf War scene as it moved onto Inkopolis Square and eventually Splatsville.

He tried to tell his mother that he was planning to leave, but she didn't appear at the hatch and eventually he had to leave without saying goodbye. This caused him to become bitter towards his occupation. He did well in Splatsville, but he's a perfectionist so "well" wasn't good enough. All the stresses finally caught up to him and he suffered a breakdown in which he quit his job and left Splatsville. He didn't know if his mother would still be in Inkopolis, so he moved to the quieter Nautilus Isle.

He quickly climbed the ranks there, founding the team Dead Zone and becoming the top player in the Peninksula. Despite how things ended with Toni Kensa, he had been loyal before that point so they gave him a sponsorship and other brands followed suit. He's been on the scene for a while now and feels ready to come back to Splatsville and try to dominate the City of Chaos' ranked scene.

Appearance
Chrome is a tall Inkling with dark skin and gray eyes. His tentacles are styled in a mush cut, with his usual ink colour being a dark chrome though he switches to purple when in a match. He wears a Pearlescent Jacket [rare Off the Hook World Tour merchandise] which has sponsorship patches on the back over a black singlet, sporty shorts and leggings and a pair of custom Holographic Lo-tops with purple socks. He never takes off a pair of Ink Pods and his set of fingerless gloves.
