This Pokémon likes to hide in the ground and pop up to scare others, as it's rather mischievous. This Pokémon is also smarter than it's evolved counterparts, and it uses this to it's advantage, may it be for shenanigans usually. This Pokémon finds it is more comfortable to burrow underground and live there rather than to live on the surface. This aids it in avoiding predators too, as well as using its smarts. It's carrot appearance makes predators rather drawn to it.
