In the very beginning of the internet, browsers were just emerging. Lightners could pick the way they wanted to explore the vastness of the world wide web, and the competition to be their browser of choice was fierce. Most advertisers would rely on Addisons to show off their products... but again, the competition was cutthroat. Everyone wanted to have their product picked from the hundreds of others in the market. Milford wasn't anything special, at least not enough compared to other Addisons.

One night while stressing over his job, Milford spotted two critters in his little house: a maus and a bug. Bugs were dangerous things: one bite, and they could make you glitch and, worst case scenario, completely shut down in front of customers. Nobody would trust a faulty, buggy browser. With this, the Addison had an idea. If he couldn't be better than the competition, he'd just have to be smarter. Before any showcasing of their browsers, Milford would let loose a few bugs next to his competition, making them glitch and panic enough for him to take the limelight.

People were getting hurt, but as long as Milford fulfilled his job, nothing else mattered to him. Milford was sure to keep his little bug army secure. He would always remember to close and lock their enclosures tight to prevent them from harming him... he was sure he'd done so that day too. Regardless of how it happened, his little critters got out and turned on their owner. The Addison was corrupted beyond repair, the entire browser he advertised for crashing down with him into obscurity.

Now plagued with the same fate he'd spread over his competitors, Milford lives underground with his own buggy browser. Its vast halls of books and documents contain almost anything anyone could learn about, but heavily guarded by dangerous bugs and critters who now call Milford one of them.
