backstory:

Jackie gained their super powers after being trapped in a hurricane shelter for 4 days. Being completely submerged, no matter how much they screamed they couldn’t be heard, and eventually lost their voice permanently. They unlocked the ability to manipulate technology through touch, and signaled for help using the old radios in the shelter.  

they grew up in foster care, and is a very gregarious and sociable person but is always afraid of being left out. the couple that was taking care of them at the time of the hurricane, Mr and Mrs Gonzalez, have always been aloof and detached from their life. They don’t belive Jackie has what it takes to be a hero, which affects Jackie greatly.

currently, they’ve moved into the hero school and are trying to get a grasp on their powers. They use an automated voice box to speak, and are very star struck getting to meet a lot of cool heros
