Souma

Souma's a bat person. His arms become wings, and his shirt is set up so that they can form properly as they sort of connect from his arms to his waist. While he doesn't look it in the reference, he's actually a very happy, curious person. He lives in the top of a mountain with a bunch of strange creatures known only as the critters. He likes shiny things, and he doesn't know what stealing is, let alone that it's bad, so he's been known to see something he likes and just silently abscond with it. He wants to be a good person, though, so gentle explanation is all it takes for him to mend his ways. He loves feathers, and wishes to one day fly during the day. Unfortunately, he's confined to the nocturnal life due to his highly light sensitive eyes. He's also prone to getting too hot in direct sunlight.

His race is rather erroneously referred to as "sky sirens" due to a sort of alluring property they have. They have the ability to use sonic screeches powerful enough to cause real damage and physical pain, but the allure they have is scent based. Sky sirens come in several different base scents secreted by glands unique to them when they're in danger. In Souma's case, his natural scent is a vague sweetness, but others have been known to have natural musks, "smokiness," or any other number vague base scents. This is mean to appeal to the connection between scent and memory, vague enough with a pheromone included to tickle the most positive memory possible in those who are pursuing them in the hopes of instead triggering hesitation to allow them to escape, or even a turn towards being protective instead. Unfortunately, Souma's unaware of most of this, having gotten the scars across his forehead when fleeing danger with his family as a child. He was thought to be lost, and left behind in desperation...when in fact he woke alone and confused, eventually encountering his critter friends and taking up residence in their mountain home.
