Stonefang

A short-furred blue-grey tom with dark amber eyes and one long canine. His ears are nearly gone from past battles and scars litter his pelt. One of his claws has been ripped out.

A brutal tom with a stronger loyalty to specific cats who share his ideals than those who don't. He has a distaste for half-clan cats and outsiders who join the clan, not believing they can truly hold complete loyalty to Riverclan. Stonefang enjoys battles and will chase after fleeing opponents relentlessly. Training sessions don't show mercy either. He enjoys pushing and being pushed to the limits, not believing in holding back when that won't happen in real battles. However, he isn't a fool either and has kept his mouth shut over touchy subjects when untrustworthy cats are around to gossip or tattle.

His loyalty lies mostly with Stormgaze and Leopardstalk. A follower over actual leader-like qualities, he was a more than willing pawn for their plans so long as it was ensured they couldn't get caught. Stonefang is all for one of them becoming leader and more than willing to avenge them should anything happen to either.

Pre-RP (cw: dark themes)

Stonepaw had been trained by Stormgaze with methods that most would deem cruel. Pushed to swim until his muscles grew too sore and he'd need fished from the river. Withstand the cold of leafbare nights while hunting despite his fur not nearly being as warm as his mentor's. The battle training was the harshest, though the brutal sessions that would leave marks were his favorite part of his apprenticeship. He actually loved how Stormgaze didn't hold back and met his mentor with claws out in return. Surely heads had turned when he proudly boasted about his 'battle scars'. Maybe some cat should've stopped this. But his parents didn't care and perhaps even kept it hushed due to similar views as his mentor.

Real battles and skirmishes were his favorite. His mentor had taught him to continue attacking even if his opponent fled. Drive them until they fell beneath his claws or were rescued by clanmates. Most importantly... don't get caught. Stonepaw would even begin helping Stormgaze with such tactics in battle. The start of his partnership with Stormgaze and Leopardstalk, being so willing to be a behind the scenes pawn to their plans.

Stonefang hasn't killed nearly as much as Stormgaze and Leopardstalk but... he's gotten a few victims in his life. Most of his help has been from the shadows. Keeping suspicions low in the clan, helping plot out how to get rid of targets. Even willing to make suggestions on how to make Leopardstalk leader, or Stormpath even.

Surely with some influence from Stormgaze, he would receive his former mentors own son, Lakepaw, to train! Stonefang was just as tough with him as Stormgaze had been. He would even take the other tom's lead in training sessions and ideas, one such being forcing Lakepaw to scale the gorge from an outcrop he'd been shoved down onto. Others were more similar to what he'd been through, swimming in rough, flooded rivers and unsheathed claws during battle practice. It was frustrating that his apprentice's thick fur cushioned his claws, hiding any marks that could've been left. Perhaps for the best though. Stormgaze's mate, Hailfall also watched closely and he was aware she'd take things to Redstar if Lakepaw got injured.

He felt proud when Lakeshade became a warrior... and later deputy even! Stonefang was sure Lakeshade would be the leader they'd want to follow. Surely a cat still playing under Stormgaze's influence would become a loyal part of what was currently a trio. Lakeshade held such promise for so long, seemingly displeased of Redstar and any sort of peace with Thunderclan. Everything looked like it would be looking up for Riverclan once Redstar's lives ran out.

During RP

Then truths would be revealed. Stonefang lingered amongst other members of the clan while the drama went down. His apprentice, Stormgaze's son, was a disappointment and a clan traitor. Half-clan kits... how could Lakeshade do this to them? He silently watched as Stormgaze fought, nearly taking out several cats—even managing to rip a life from Redstar—before falling to Floodcurrent. Such strength for an old cat. Meanwhile Leopardstalk had seen himself out in a more subtle manor, stealing Tigermoth away with him. Stonefang wasn't privy to the whole plan, in fact he didn't know it at all considering how suddenly this was thrown upon them, but he'd be waiting for orders... And revenge for his fallen mentor who'd been like another father to him.

Lakeshade's new litter only spurred more hatred. He wanted to dispose of them quickly while they were small and helpless but there was always eyes on them it felt. To make it worse, Lakeshade's eldest son had a kit now too. Tainted blood spreading too rapidly through the clan. He had to stop it before it got worse... Stormgaze had seemed to be targeting Lilystream first of the three. A weaker, passive, warrior. He'd do the same. Keeping his distance, gaining info on her outings and routines. First her, and then the others before he finished the job on Lakeshade.
