Knight of The Water Kingdom (Realm-born; Water Kingdom)

Branch A: One of the many cats displaced during King Ignitions’ reign of tyranny. During his takeover of The Water Kingdom, he specifically scouted Island to become a part of his growing army due to his physical prowess and aggression. Not wanting King Ignition to cause trouble for his family, Island begrudgingly complied and joined The Forest Kingdom as a Squire. From there, he was pitted against Seethe in a spar. Island found Seethe’s eagerness to please King Ignition distasteful and let him know it. Seethe seemed to take this in stride, taunting Island, before landing a swipe across the liger’s chest. King Ignition favored Seethe’s cutthroat behavior and Island was apprenticed beneath Willow. His education wasn’t great due to the fact King Ignition kept his Consort on a tight leash. Seethe and Island generally maintained an antagonistic relationship, however there were occasional truces whenever King Ignition’s actions grew too unbearable. These fleeting reprieves were enough to have Seethe entrusting Island to evacuate his little sisters from the realm before facing off against King Ignition for the final time. However, Island couldn’t help but turn back (having his brother Placid evacuate Pyre and Tinder instead) but it was too late by the time he arrived. 

Branch B: After Ignition rescinds his rights to the throne, Island returns to The Water Kingdom a full-fledged Knight. He’s tasked with looking after the elderly Serene who quickly takes a shine to him. The feeling is mutual as Island sees King Serene as everything he and Ignition aren’t. Serene considers naming Island as her heir, seeing her biological ones as unsuitable, but Island’s quick to decline. He instead suggests his half-brother, Placid, claiming he has a “better head on his shoulders.”
