I came across an injured dove
I wanted to put her out of her misery
There came no signal from above
No sign, no guide, I thought whatever could this mean

And with my hand I picked her up
And in that moment, oh, it shifted magically
For when her feathers felt my touch, I saw her a demon
Feathers, they turned black
Oh, she was no Phoenix, but a creature of the ash

I let her go, she hit the ground
I heard the thud, regained her color
Saw the scars, she had been bound by someone and left to die

The last beautiful thing I saw is the thing that blinded me” by Paris Paloma

(Before reading, talking about spirits and gods, and divine powers, it's just something Lilith believes in. But it is meant more metaphorically. She is not talking to them for real, she only believes she does and thinks they are answering her, which means she may be quite delusional. Just like her mother before)

Lilith embodies a captivating and enigmatic presence. Highly spiritual, she possesses a deep connection to the natural world, often expressing her profound sense of unity with the spirits that she believes surround her presence. She seeks guidance and strength from the gods she reveres, offering prayers to the spirits for signs and insights into the future. Lilith's reliance on the gods and spirits for strength and foresight also highlights her humility and recognition of forces greater than herself. She engages in intricate rituals that involve intricate gestures or symbolic offerings. In surrendering to the divine, she acknowledges the intricate interconnectedness of all living beings and the natural world. This spiritual bond she believes in not only reinforces her sense of purpose but also reinforces her commitment to protecting the delicate balance of nature within Elysium.

Radiating an aura of fascination and feminine elegance, Lilith commands the attention and respect of those who encounter her. Her strong will and unyielding determination make her an indomitable force within the herd. Fearlessly facing challenges and danger head-on, she never falters or backs away from adversity. Lilith embraces her role as a strong individual within Elysium, embodying the essence of feminine strength.

While Lilith exudes confidence and pride in her beliefs, she can sometimes view those she considers weak with disdain. Her firm conviction in the natural order drives her to believe that those deemed weak are destined to fall, unless they can prove their strength. This perspective, while it may seem harsh or heartless to some, stems from her commitment to honesty and the inherent truth she perceives in the world.

Lilith's spiritual connection to nature and the spirits guides her every action. She speaks of feeling the pulse of life within her surroundings, sensing the ebb and flow of the living beings that inhabit the world. To her, death is an integral part of the natural cycle, a necessary element of renewal and growth. This profound understanding can make her appear callous, as she believes that weakness must be shed to make room for strength.

Despite her fierce nature, Lilith remains fiercely loyal to Elysium, its leader Kosa, and her fellow herd members. She sees herself as a guardian of their sacred beliefs, willing to do whatever it takes to protect and preserve the sanctity of their way of life. Her loyalty extends to her hunting prowess, finding great joy in the pursuit of prey. She revels in the thrill of the chase, often targeting members of rival herd or solitary deers, viewing it as a means to assert her strength and dominance.

In moments of aggression or when she feels wronged, Lilith's demeanor can become intense and confrontational. Yet, beneath her stoic exterior, lies a calm and composed individual who values introspection and reflection.

Amidst the expanse of Elysium's sprawling plains, where the sun bathed the land in golden hues and the gentle breeze whispered secrets through the tall grass, there lived a family whose story was woven with ambition, pride, and an unyielding pursuit of power. At the head of this family stood Lilith's mother, Morana, a strict and rigid woman whose presence resonated with an aura of strength and authority, casting a shadow that commanded respect throughout their domain.

Morana was no ordinary woman. She possessed a vision, a grand aspiration to shape the future of their lineage. Her marriage to Jolon, Lilith's father, was not one born out of love, but rather a calculated alliance, a strategic move to bring forth an heir who would embody her unwavering devotion to the ideals of their ancestors. And so, when Lilith entered the world, she was greeted not with the tender embrace of a loving mother, but with the weight of expectations.

From the very moment of her birth, Morana embarked on a fervent mission to mold her daughter into a reflection of her own indomitable image. She was a strict disciplinarian, demanding nothing short of excellence from her young charge. Lilith was taught to embrace her strength and spirituality, to connect with the ethereal spirits that danced among the rustling leaves and babbling streams of Elysium. She was groomed to be a leader, destined to ascend to the highest echelons of power and command within the herd.

Yet, it was not only her mother's ambitions that shaped Lilith's destiny. Her father, though often overshadowed by his toxic spouse, possessed a quiet love for his daughter. He recognized in Lilith a spirit that longed for something beyond the confines of her mother’s vision—a thirst for exploration and a yearning for a little bit of freedom. However, he was powerless to shield her from the relentless expectations imposed by his wife’s strong demeanor and unwavering will.

Everything began to change when tragedy struck and Lilith's father met his untimely demise, falling victim to a savage bear attack. As Lilith stood beside her fallen father, her heart heavy with grief, her mother's words echoed in her mind, words that had once been uttered during the passing of Morana's own mother (Lilith’s grandmother) by HER father. "The weaklings," Morana had declared, her voice filled with disdain, "do not deserve to tread upon the same sacred soil as us."

In that moment, Lilith felt a pang of resentment towards her mother's cold and rigid beliefs, the same beliefs Morana was taught by her father, a longing to break free from the shackles of tradition. She mourned the loss of her father, but she also mourned the stifling grip her mother held over her life.

As Lilith grew older, she found herself increasingly at odds with her mother's rigid beliefs and unyielding vision for her future. She yearned to break free from the suffocating constraints of her upbringing, to forge her own path beyond the boundaries of Morana’s strong will and beliefs. The spirit of adventure burned within her, fueling her desire to explore the vast expanse of the world that lay beyond.

But it was when her mother met a fate similar to her father's, falling victim to the merciless claws of a prowling predator, a profound realization washed over Lilith. As she stood over her mother's lifeless body, her gaze piercing and resolute, she felt no sorrow, no remorse in her heart for the doe who had molded her into a person she had become. Instead, a profound clarity settled within her. Her mother, despite her outward facade of invincibility, had succumbed to the same mortal fate as any other being. In that moment, Lilith understood the truth— even the strongest ones can be defeated and fall upon their own demise. The illusion of invincibility shattered, replaced by a somber recognition of their shared mortality.

Standing there with clarity within her mind, staring into the dead eyes of a fallen doe, Lilith found herself quoting the very same words by her mother and her (Morana’s) father before. "The weaklings," she muttered, her gaze cold as a winter breeze "do not deserve to tread upon the same sacred soil as us!”...“ You said those words to me, while all this time, you were one of them, Mother! Just like your father before!”.

For Lilith, this proclamation marked a moment of liberation from the toxic influence of her mother. It was a realization that she no longer had to bear the burden of her mother's toxic beliefs and behaviors. With her mother's passing, Lilith felt a sense of freedom and relief, as if a weight had been lifted from her shoulders.

And so, in the many seasons that followed, Lilith's spirit soared within the herd of Elysium. She embraced her role as a loyal member of the herd, embodying their shared beliefs while finding her own individuality and purpose.
