Julia is a talkative, social squid. Friendly and curious she can talk until days end and that... can be a little tiring. Julia is also very observant of her surroundings so it's difficult for her to stay focused about tasks right in front of her nose: Homework, cleaning up, keeping conversations going in public, even reading books she enjoys. At the same time she's overly independent so she doesn't need anyone telling her what to do or to focus or that she might have an attention defecit disorder. Those are the rare occasions Julia can get snappy real quick. Despise her being very emotional, Julia is very mentally stable and usually keeps her bubbly bright side for most of the time.

• Julia pulls the bobble hat over her eyes when she's embarrassed or flustered.

Julia grew up at home and used to be a shy toddler. Unfortunately her parents neglected her, causing her to get louder over time, only to get at least some attention. When all of this didn't help Julia started to throw and break things. Sick of their 'unruly' child, the parents isolated the girl more and more. Eventually neighbors informed the police, since the screaming of a child that's calling for her parents didn't seem to stop. Soon Julia was taken from her parents and taken to an orphanage. There she had a ton of children to play with, caretakers that spend time with her.  It soothed her troubled soul but nevertheless she remained a loud squid. That didn't keep her from picking up her caretakers and another orphan's kind side, and soon Julia as playing big sister for orphans that didn't seem to feel too good. It didn't matter if they were older, Julia still played the big-sister role. One of those squids was Vincent who never said a thing or moved a bit. Once he warmed up to her, Julia took him to her found family, Justin, who treated her with kindness, the twins Kane and Nero who protected her from bullies and Mai, a small girl Justin always cared for. In the end those 6 squids were inseparable, which made it impossible to get adopted, since no one could adopt 6 kids at once. But Justin had a plan.
Sneaking out to play turfwar the little family earned money that they kept secret from the Orphanage. Once Justin was old enough to live on his own he used the money they have saved over the years to get a large student flat and took his siblings with him.
Registering as an official Team called the Squid-filled box the orphans kept living together ever since so you'll rarely meet one of them alone. Julia still drags Vincent everywhere she goes so you'll most likely see those two together in public.
