V.A.S.T. Entity Lore

The Entities are what the humans regarded as true alien beings, unlike the first ones they discovered, the Entities were sentient, intelligent, and can travel across time and space, beings that were arcane and literally out of this world. What's more interesting is their way of reproduction, the Entities in fact weren't born from their own kind, but from stellar matter instead. In their home universe (which works different than ours), the stars eject matter that will soon combine with other matter until it forms the core, upon the core's completion it will then proceed to the formation of the body until it's completed, and there an Entity is born, and they will be raised by older Entities until they reach maturity.

Basically, the Entities were like living stars, which is what others call them. They actually don't have a distinct name for their species due to the fact that they're the only living beings in their universe, so they thought they don't need one. However, as soon as they made contact with other worlds' intelligent beings, they were given scientific terms for their species and most of it were similar to the English term; Entity. So as of the present, the Entities adopted this term, introducing themselves as "Entities" or sometimes, "Extraterrestrial Entities."

Humans however wished to give them the term "Sentallien," an amalgamation of the words "Sentient Star Aliens" but this was just a proposal among the scientist that studies them.
