Simon enjoys stories with a darker atmosphere, he is a lover of grim dark topics and macabre, favoring characters that are more twisted in nature, some of his personal favorite qualities being cannibals, murderers and especially evil doctors or scientists. Exploring the complexity of these characters and why they do what they do is always so fascinating to him, especially if they have a softer side to them. Sometimes it's fun to just love the straight-up evil guys with irredeemable qualities.

Simon himself is a bit of a social recluse, he prefers the company of fictional characters over real people. Simon also has an interest in musical theater often favoring those set in the Victorian era as that period of time is also a special interest of his. He is, of course, harmless in the real world, currently the media is cleansing everything that makes complex characters good so he enjoys getting the chance to indulge in characters with negative aspects to their personalities and especially characters that are covered in blood.
