Someone without a purpose is nobody at all - Esper knows that too clearly. He had been a well known sculptor one upon a time, others would use magic, or supposedly easier ways to carve marble and stone. But he would scoff and spit on them if they dared question his own methods, you could not compare to what his talons did to clumsy magic. His father had taught him from a young age to carve with your tools, leave magic to the scholars and alchemists.
