Scratch

Scratch, a 16 year old boy, is probably the only one who deserves to be in the Prison Unit. In other words, he really is a criminal.  

His parents were extremely poor and lived in the streets of the underground. Unable to support a child, they abandoned Scratch in an ally way when he was very small. A gruff man found him and raised him until he was thirteen, then the boy was abandoned again. 

Scratch suffered much, but then he found something that would change his life. Two cat like creatures. Clawnts. He took these kittens and raised them as best he could. Then, when they were old and strong enough, he put them into illegal animal fights. He made bank of the bets taken on the fights... until he was caught, at age fifteen, and sent to the prison units. 

Just before capture though, he ordered the Clawnts to "run home and stay there". He had trained them well and the two pets escaped...
