lower agate is an unusually thoughtful sort compared to most fungi. He doesn't spend much time around his own kind, instead choosing to descend past their homes and into the white calcite roots of the world. The depths are the only place he's comfortable, in truth. In such a pure, vast emptiness, there's nothing his spores can latch onto. It makes him feel... small, but happy...

Despite his differences from the crowd, he spends some time exploring above as well. When he sees the rare plant descended from above, sprouting despite the condition, he can't help but sit and stare from a respectful distance. He feels a great admiration for the people and plants of the surface, but is deathly afraid of harming them.
