Poppy

Come on, you cannot seriously believe I would ever wear that, right?

Poppy is an Eevee with a lot of attitude and a lot of knowledge on how to use it to get her way. Her mom, Allegra, doesn't pay much attention to her, being a performing ballerina and all, but the pageant-loving Mon still believes she would be just as proud watching her daughter win in the prettiest mon contest. Poppy is very full of herself, but there is a nagging feeling that she is missing something she tries to ignore whenever she passes by the primary school.

Born from a chance encounter-turned-extreme mishap, Ruta and Allegra managed to hatch two eggs despite not knowing each other super well. Neither of them were terribly upset by it, however, but because they had their own lives to live, Ruta took the baby Sentret, while Allegra took the baby Eevee. While Ruta and Allegra still spend time together, they've agreed to keep the kids separated until they decide if they want to make things official.

Beauty pageants are hard work, that much was clear, and Poppy knew all too well. Made for the stage just like her mama, she was ready to take the spotlight as soon as she was able to. However, she was soon learning how exhausting it was to be the prettiest of a bunch of pretty Pokemon, and a part of her was desperate to make it out there. But the biggest show of her career was starting, and she was nervous. She remembered her mama dealing with the same thing, evolving while she pressed on and finished her performance, and wondered if she would be able to do the same. She sat in her dressing room, getting ready, and looking in the mirror, chanting over and over that she had to be perfect, she just had to. She kept chanting, using it as a mantra to keep her steady as she practiced her routine for the pageant.

The pageant started, and her first part of her routine was a dance number. She knew she could do it, but in the middle of her performance, she froze mid-step. She stared out at the crowd, who were staring back, and she looked over everyone as she panicked silently. However, what she didn't expect to see was her mom, Allegra, in the crowd. Her bright blue scales gave her away quickly, and Poppy felt her pride swell in her chest. She had to prove to her mom she could do this, that she could be like her in her own way. So, she finally broke free of her freeze, and requested a do-over. As the music boomed, she gave her mom one last look, and then began to pour her heart into her dance. A glow started to spring out from her chest, but she continued to dance. Her body was enveloped, and yet she continued to dance. Once the music hit its peak, the stage was too bright for anyone to look, but as soon as the song was over, everyone saw a beautiful Espeon on the stage, in her finale pose.

Having finally made her debut in her biggest performance yet, Poppy, now a fully-evolved Espeon, has vowed to hit every stage she can as a traveling idol, making her mom proud in her own stage performances and as a dancer in her own right. She still visits her mom and goes to her shows, and even still thinks about visiting the primary school for some reason, but her life has whisked her away to stardom and she couldn't be happier.
