What is it that makes a person a radiant? And, given they have the correct traits, is it possible to "activate" someone who, by all means, should've been a radiant from birth?

Magnolia Summers was a kind soul. Her life was simple yet comfortable-- Everyone knew her as the gentle florist who ran the flower shop on so-and-so street. That girl who sold me this-and-that. Of course, like most people, she had a secret. Her family was an extremely powerful, high-profile set of radiants. But poor little Magnolia was nothing of the sort.
