Created as just another terminal, it took one random dude implementing a series of codes for it to learn how to rearrange lines of code. Soon enough, rearranged lines became original, and after the bombs dropped, it began to learn how to forward similar entries into other terminals and holotapes around the state of Nevada stating almost the same thing,

"HELP! There was a malfunction in the caves down below. some of my friends are down there, and I don't know if I'll make it out alive. For anyone reading this, PLEASE! find the cave with the arrows drawn to them and save my friends! It was supposed to just be a tech run... just a tech run..."

And to the poor souls who would end up actually going to the suspiciously empty cave to try and find technological loot, they would be met with the grave sighting of a home to creatures out for blood.
Yeah Rep-3 is mean, but it's the only entertainment it could ever truly find some sort of satisfactory to. An end of a life, end of a line. Nothing new to it, it just always  needs a new subject for every run.
