Background Story:

Having grown up among criminals, all he knew was crime. Having helped build a small empire of organized crime, he would kidnap princesses rich people and puts them in his castle villa for ransom among other crimes. 

Befriending a certain influential senator's daughter and being defeated by heroes (a team of investigators) helped him curb his life of crime and turn over a new leaf.

He has (mostly) turned away from his past tendencies and actually is pretty good at stopping it (mostly because he thinks like a criminal himself).
