PROFILE
Masaaki is very intimidating upon first meeting, but that's on purpose. She has her group, and that's enough for her. He only shows vulnerability to his group, to those he knows he can trust. It's her way of showing that she trusts and respects her friends. His usual monotomous expressions are his way to spite his younger self, who was so "weak and pathetic" in his words. She spends most of her time with her cat Yoko, practicing for upcoming performances, and helping Ryota with household chores.
Masaaki is the leader and vocalist of visual kei group Euphoria of Influence, with his members Ryota, Toyama, and Toru. The three are always attached at the hip. Each member has their own assigned colour, Masaaki's being red. He is known by his group and fans as the black cat of EuoI, or Kuroi Neko Chan (黒い猫ちゃん) because of his cat-like nature, and his last name Kurokawa (Kuro(i) meaning black).
PERSONALITY
Masaaki is very closed off and reserved, though when he opens up he is very childlike especially when it comes to his interests. She has always been different from others, which made her stick so closely to her brother Ryota. He thrives on stage, the burning lights and screaming fans moved by his music pushing him to keep going each day. She likes to follow by example in public places, but when it comes to music she couldn't be more different from the rest of the groups.
ARTIST NOTES
- Masaaki has pale skin, usually highlighted by his extensive use of foundation. She uses long fake eyelashes and deep coloured lipstick and eyeshadow. He also has two snake bite piercings below her bottom lip.
- He does have top surgery scars visible through the chest hole in his shirt.
- She has three canon outfits, but if you put her in a different outfit it does not matter. Under no circumstances will I allow art of him in NSFW outfits.
- Her eyepatch has some ageing on it due to it being very old and used everyday for years (unless she is at home alone with her brother).
PALETTE
Ryota Kurokawa • Brother
Despite Ryota only being a year older than Masaaki, he's taken care of her for the better part of their life. Masaaki and Ryota split from their parents at a very early age, which was not good for either. Tensions and stress got so bad that they hated each other for a while until Masaaki started his first year of high school. Masaaki gets a sudden call from an unknown number, and being bored he decides to take it. The man on the other end sounded all to familiar as he hears a loud banging at his front door acompanied with a "Open up, I want to talk." Masaaki fearfully got up to check the door to find Ryota was already there screaming at the the man who had seemingly been the one responsible for the phonecall, their father. Staying hidden against the doorframe, Ryota continues about how horrible of a father the man was, and how much he had hurt Masaaki as well as himself. Eventually the man left after Ryota ran his mouth a bit longer, and Masaaki revealed himself from the doorframe and runs up to hug the boy. If it werent for Ryota, Masaaki didn't know what would have happened that day.
The two still live together in the present. They both take care of their pet calico Yoko, taking turns buying the cats necessities as well as their own. When they weren't running errands, they were in the studio testing and playing beats and melodies for their band, always making sure the other members get to hear the music samples if they can't make it to the booth sessions.
Toyama Ryo • Bandmate
Masaaki and Toyama met after Toru had introduced them to each other. Masaaki had ranted endlessly about the band he wanted to start, but the only person who was willing to be in it was his brother Ryota. She then discovers Toyama and Toru were childhood best friends and Toru said he'd be willing to put in a good word, because Toyama was a pretty talented drummer. Upon meeting the highly energetic boy, she asks him to do a drum solo to judge if his style fit the group. To say she was absolutely amazed was an understatement, and Toyama was immeditely welcomed into the band.
On the side, when the band isn't practicing, Masaaki teaches Toyama gymnastics, considering how interested he was in the sport.
Toru Saito • Mutual Pining
Masaaki and Toru have known each other since first year. They've taken almost all the same classes as each other and naturally started hanging out with each other. Each day they realized more and more what they had in common. They both loved music, they loved playing it too. They loved reading together, and playing with Yoko together, and doing anything they did together. It started off as a simple friendship but quickly turned into something way more. They definitely liked each other, LIKE liked each other. Neither could tell the other because there was absolutely no way the other felt the same. No way in the history of ever!!
Masaaki and Toru keep in contact very often, whether it be through text, call, facetime, or hanging out in person. It's as if they never run out of things to talk about, talking to the other never gets boring even when they have nothing to say.
