Flarepaw feels a constant need to prove himself to his clanmates, he purposefully takes risks ahead of others firstly to live up to his reputation as a RideClan cat but also to protect the cats he cares about. He is hugely loyal to his clan, so much so he disowned his own father to stay with his clan. When under the watchful eye of a mentor he's fairly timid, too focused on not making a mistake. Around his friends he's calmer, but very susceptible to peer pressure. He actually doesn't like the idea of getting scarred, but he hides it, even from his friends. Anything that might threaten his image as a good RideClan cat makes him defensive and snappy, usually leading to him making a stupid decision.
