Personality

Rory is a thoughtful and idealistic type of person. They tend to have strong ideas and values. They rarely shy away from an opportunity to do the right thing. Rory is very passionate about what he does, whether that be volunteer work, studying, or fencing. They have a certain charisma to them, quick to charm and draw others in.

Rory is analytical and objective, taught to bring order to the people around them. They are quite judgemental, coming from a home full of royals, some things perceived as normal to them might strike them as strange. Rory is not necessarily good with emotions, but that does not mean they are intentionally cruel. They are prone to hiding their own emotions and sentimentality, viewing it as a weakness that should not be made known to others. At times, they can seem argumentative and confrontational, often taking charge in communicating with others

Story

Background

Rory was born into a royal family and is the only child of his mother and father. His family continued a tradition of Earth magic, which included the ability to bend bits of earth to their whim and healing abilities. It was pretty quiet for Rory, with his mother quickly teaching him minor tactics and ideas to get him started. Rory was always close to his mother. Little did he know, his mother was rapidly declining from an illness. This was kept a secret from Rory. Knowing that his wife was slowly dying, their father became increasingly brutal. He kept Rory away from his mother as she grew ill, fearing he would catch what she had. Instead, he distracted his son with work, gradually developing him into the ideal leader and role model. It wasn't long before his mother died, and feeling devastated, his father advised him to work harder and harder, pushing through his pain. So he did whatever to appease his father. His father got what he desired: the ideal son and leader, a bright, charming kid who knew how to play his cards. Raised to bring serenity, with the expectation of perfection. Rory excelled at magic and promised to continue their ideal little legacy. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't relieved to have been accepted to Night Raven College, which would provide him with even more opportunities to succeed.
