Xunxian is a stoic man of few words and a reputation for his aloofness - however, out of all Troupe seniors, he is the most lenient on juniors who come to him for aid and the quickest to spoil them. He was Jiang Bin's senior in their original kunqu troupe, being appointed as the shen role to Jiang Bin's dan - however, Xunxian was swayed by Jiang Bin's charms and began wanting to sing the dan role himself - thus was born this dan4dan couple. After relocating to Japan, Xunxian was the one vastly more dissatisfied with the idea of commercializing their craft for a pop-hungry audience, though neither of the two men are particularly keen on the cheaper costume imitations they don and the modified lyrics they sing. Xunxian likes sudoku and learning new languages, and he is always the one to treat their apprentice after being scolded by Jiang Bin.
